Restaurants and Bars

There are many to choose from, some very Spanish, and a few with dishes from the rest of the world. Bars tend to serve generous measures at very reasonable prices. You'll find plenty of reviews on Trip Advisor, but we've listed a few of our favourites below.

Bar Rustic

Right next to the beach. Good tapas and bar service. A great place to sit and watch the world go by.

Don Gelato

Very friendly Italian family run ice cream parlour that sells a wide range of delicous ice cream and also pizza, arancini, hot dogs, cakes, coffee and drinks(soft or booxy)

Casa Tia

We love the tapas here, just order a few dishes at a time and stop ordering when you're full.

Sa Paissa

During the summer they have live music just about every night, all the acts are good, especially the Brothers of Soul and Pop Idols. 

Bar Pons

Probably the most Spanish place in Cala en Porter, head over for Paella on a Saturday or Sunday evening and you'll be surrounded by Menorcans dancing.

Cova d'en Xoroi

Often listed as one of the ten best bars in the world. These caves were once home to the pirate Xoroi - they are now a spectacular bar during the day and evening, and a club through the night. 

Can Bernat

Just 3km oustide Cala en Porter but well worth a taxi ride is Can Bernat - their meats grilled over an open fire really are something special. A table on the rear terrace will treat you to a great view of the sunset.

Es Moli De Foc

8km away in Sant Climent and is mentioned in the Michelin guide - Daniel Craig and Rachel Weiss chose to eat there when they holidayed in Menorca.
